Does Tetris Boost Brainpower?

There has been a study that playing tetris in our computer helps our brain to be more efficient.
According to Technologyreview.com:
Practicing the computer game Tetris appears to boost growth in some parts of the adolescent brain and to enhance efficiency in others, according to a study published today in the journal BMC Research Notes. According to the researchers, the study is the first to assess both brain structure and efficiency using two types of brain imaging before and after practicing a cognitive task.

The study compared adolescent girls who practiced Tetris over a three-month period and those who did not. According to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), the practice group increased thickness of the cortex in certain areas. Their brains also appeared to function more efficiently in some areas, meaning they used less brainpower to complete the same tasks.

For me ill try to play tetris as long as i want to make my brain more efficient.

Blender

Learning 3D animation is not that easy, like me currently practicing and learning 3D animation. It is very hard to use but i really like it. Now i am practicing modeling so that i can have basic knowledge of animation. I used Blender because all of the other 3D softwares best specs is implemented to the blender. Maya and 3D max is also one of the famous 3D animation software but blender is opensource so its more cooler.

San Miguel Beermen Hailed Champion of the Motolite Fiesta Cup 08-09

Wow San Miguel won the championship last Friday. I was really happy that they got to win having the crowd booing them. They just dominated the game without any problem. So it is there 18th championship and giving them the winning est team ever played in PBA. The MVP of the final was their guard JONAS VILLANUEVA that played very well and also crowned the most Improved Player of the Conference. The Ginebra was not really playing good like they dont have the heart that they always saying that other team does not have. So good luck San Miguel Beermen for the next conference make it two championship or even a GRAND SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Floyd Mayweather

The fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manuel Marquez was canceled because mayweather said that he broke his ribs. Maybe he wanted it to be canceled because the ticket sale is low and no one want to see him fight. If i were him ill fight Manny to earn more money like manny. All of mayweathers opponents were not that great fighters not like pacquioa did.

This new iPod shuffle is very small and easy to use. The controls are located at the middle of the iPod earphones. It has a new feature called the VoiceOver that tells you what song is playing and the one who is singing/playlists. This iPod can store up to 1000 songs to the 4Gb storage. No class today due to strike and i was really thankful because i have muscle pains that have been bothering me for almost 3 days. For now ill just rest and eat and read books....

ADOBE Seminar

Yesterday in Apo View hotel, I and my classmates attended a seminar with the Adobe. The seminar was about Dream weaver, Fireworks, and Flash I forgot the other one. The topic was about their new flash cs4. It has new features and tools that the past flash had. During the seminar the new tools are introduce like the Bone tool that merge two different layers. It was really amazing that one of the features was when you want to move an object from left to right its automatic. You can also add caption to the video. They also gave bags, tutorials and 30 days installer. My money wasn’t wasted and I have learned new things and I wish that there are more seminars to come here in Davao City.

Goodbye to the King Of Pop

Yesterday when i heard the news that Michael Jackson died I did not believe because it was not yet confirmed. Then another news come out that Michael was really dead and i was really shocked about what happened. The cause of his death was cardiac arrest and was found in his house. At the hospital the doctors are trying to revive michael but it did not happened because the doctors said that he was already dead before he got to the hospital. I would say his the best not only in singing but also in dancing like his famous dance move the moonwalk. Im sure that his memoir will remain to the people that heard the song of the King of Pop Michael Jackson..

San Miguel Beermen Won!!!

I thought san miguel was losing yesterday because the burger kings were making there shot in the last minutes of the game. Here In Davao There was a brown out so we did not finished the game. It took almost half an hour before the electricity got back and the the RPN was out of coverage and the website had a problem. Finally when the RPN had coverage the game was already finished but the commentator said that san miguel won the game with a score of 100 - 88 giving them the lead of the series 2-1.
